GB Auto is pleased to support the release of a Women in Trades Report produced by Charles Stuart University called “A Trade of One’s Own” (Regional NSW Stakeholder findings).
GB Auto were involved in the industry consultation process providing feedback to the research team around barriers and proposed solutions to women’s recruitment and retention and how women can pursue successful, meaningful careers.
Women currently make up approx. 1-3% of all workers in the manual trades in Australia, a figure consistent with global trends. Why have the percentages of women in manual trades remained stagnant for 30 years?
